What We Took Away From the 2026 ADAVB Convention

Good dental care depends on keeping up with the latest research and technology. That’s why two of our dentists, Dr. Hana Sekiguchi and Dr. Samantha Lew, spent 18–19 September at the 2026 ADAVB Convention & Exhibition in Melbourne.

Beyond the Bite

This year’s theme was “Beyond the Bite: Truths, Trends and the Latest Tech.” The two-day program covered the whole dental team and offered 12 hours of continuing professional development. It focused on three areas:

  • The truths: A close look at the latest clinical research, so that treatment stays based on evidence.
  • The trends: How patients’ expectations are changing, and how practices can make care easier to access and more comfortable.
  • The tech: Hands-on time with the digital workflows and equipment that are changing care in the dental chair.

Learning From the Wider Profession

An exhibition ran alongside the convention, with suppliers from Victoria and interstate showing new products and services. Our dentists got to see new equipment up close. They also swapped ideas with other dentists, hygienists and therapists from across the state.

What It Means for Our Patients

Going to events like this helps us keep improving the care we give our patients. We’re now looking at what our dentists learned and how best to use it at Mason Square Dental. Our goal is the same as always: care that is based on evidence, comfortable and focused on you.

Thank you to the ADAVB for hosting such a valuable event. We’re already looking forward to the next one.
